The Future: Chaining & Agentic Workflows
Single prompts are for individuals. Workflows are for systems. In this lesson, we teach you how to chain prompts together to automate complex, multi-stage business processes.
🔹 Prompt Chaining: The Pipeline Method
Prompt chaining is the process of taking the Output of Prompt A and using it as the Input for Prompt B.
🧩 Example: The Content Machine
- Step 1: "Generate 10 trending blog post titles for the AI niche."
- Step 2: (Feed titles) "Select the title with the most viral potential and write a detailed 5-point outline."
- Step 3: (Feed outline) "Write the full article (800 words) using the outline provided. Use a professional tone."
🔹 AI Agents: Goal-Oriented Prompting
An AI Agent is a prompt that is given a Goal and the Authority to use tools to reach it. Instead of saying "Write this," you say "Achieve this objective using these available resources."
Automation Principles
- Modularity: Keep each step in your chain simple and focused.
- Validation: Add a "Verification Prompt" between steps to ensure the data is high-quality before moving forward.
Common Questions
Is prompt chaining better than one long prompt?
Yes. Chaining is much more reliable because the AI can focus on one specific task at a time, preventing 'Attention Drift'.
Put it into practice.
